It's the bar tab. Grant popped into Paul McMullan's Dover pub to continue a chat about the dark arts of tabloid journalism started at Christmas when his sports car broke down in Kent. The actor told him the public didn't care about his private life: "I was arrested with a hooker and they still came to my films." The resulting expose in the New Statesman was headlined: 'The bugger, bugged'. Nicola Phillips is a publicist.
